Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure to rest after your flight and ease into the journey before heading north the next day.

Begin with a guided visit in Kigali, with time to learn more about Rwanda’s history, culture, and modern capital.

Later, continue by private road transfer to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, arriving in time to settle into The Bishop’s House.

Set out early for Volcanoes National Park headquarters before beginning your guided gorilla trek. Trekking time varies depending on the location of the gorilla family, but the reward is one of Africa’s most powerful wildlife experiences: time spent observing mountain gorillas in their forest habitat.

Return to the lodge for a relaxed afternoon.

This morning, return to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking, a lighter and more playful contrast to the gorilla experience.

In the afternoon, enjoy either a scenic biking experience through the local countryside or a gentle canoeing excursion, depending on preference and conditions.

After breakfast, transfer to Kigali Airport for your onward flight into Tanzania. The plane touches ground in Mwanza for a quick custom stop and continues to Rubondo Island Camp.

Set on Lake Victoria, Rubondo offers a completely different safari rhythm: forest, water, beach, and island wilderness. Settle in before ending the day with a boat sundowner on the lake.

Begin the day with a guided chimpanzee trek through Rubondo’s forested interior. Sightings are not guaranteed, but the experience adds a rare and adventurous primate chapter to the trip.

Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool before a quiet sundowner on the beach

Start the morning with a boat visit to a local fishing village, or choose a catch-and-release Nile perch fishing experience instead. After lunch back at camp, transfer for your flight to the Serengeti.

On arrival, continue to Dunia Camp and settle into the open savannah setting.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives, with some relaxation at camp.

Explore the region strong year-round for resident wildlife and big cats, with possible migrating herds depending on the season.

Rise early for an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti, followed by a bush breakfast.

Later, continue with a game drive across the Central Serengeti, looking for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, and other plains game.

After breakfast, enjoy a final transfer through the Serengeti to the airstrip, with wildlife sightings possible along the way.
