After arriving in Nairobi, you'll be met by your driver and transferred approximately 45 minutes to Karen Blixen Cottage.

Spend the rest of the day settling into the peaceful garden setting, recovering from your international journey, and enjoying a relaxed first evening before your safari adventure begins.

Following breakfast, transfer 15 minutes to Wilson Airport for your scheduled bush flight to Laikipia (approximately 1 hour). Upon landing, continue with a 35 minute scenic game drive transfer through Ol Pejeta Conservancy to camp, where wildlife sightings often begin before arrival.

The afternoon is left flexible for your first game drive or time to relax and take in the surrounding landscape.

Begin at 8:30 AM with Ol Pejeta's anti-poaching dog unit, where you'll visit the bloodhound kennels and learn how these dogs are trained to support patrol teams. Guests aged 12+ can also join a human-canine "hide and seek" tracking exercise near the Morani Information Centre.

After lunch and rest time at camp, visit the protected rhino enclosure to meet the last remaining northern white rhinos, learn from their keepers, and look for Grévy's zebra and Jackson's hartebeest in a private setting.

Spend the morning on game drives through Ol Pejeta Conservancy before joining a lion tracking experience from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Researchers use radio collars to locate specific lions, then explain how individuals are identified by ear notches, whisker patterns, and other markings.

All data supports Ol Pejeta's ecological monitoring work. Guests remain in the vehicle throughout.

Transfer to Kamok Airstrip for your scheduled 1-hour flight to Ol Kiombo in the Masai Mara. On arrival, continue with a 20-minute game drive transfer to Emboo Camp, where the open plains often deliver wildlife sightings before check-in.

Settle in and enjoy the shift from conservancy landscapes to classic Mara scenery.

Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara's abundant wildlife on game drives tailored to seasonal movement and predator activity. In August, there may be opportunities to witness wildebeest crossings at different points along the Mara River.

Between drives, enjoy a slower afternoon at camp, with time to relax by the pool.

Choose an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari over the Mara, or enjoy a slower morning at camp. Later, explore the property's medicinal herb garden before continuing with game drives across the surrounding Mara landscape.

The day is designed to balance memorable activities with time to enjoy your final full day in the bush.

Transfer to Ol Kiombo Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi.

Depending on your international departure time, you may visit the Giraffe Centre, enjoy lunch or a relaxed stop at Karen Blixen Garden Restaurant, or rest at an airport hotel before your flight home from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
