The afternoon is intentionally slower, with time to relax at Little Kulala, enjoy the pool, book a massage, and take in the silence of the desert.

Fly north to Damaraland and settle into Desert Rhino Camp, set in a remote conservation landscape of rocky plains, mountains, and dry riverbeds. In the afternoon, head out on a nature drive in search of desert-adapted wildlife and to get a feel for the scale and rugged beauty of the region.

Today is centered on one of Namibia’s most meaningful wildlife experiences: tracking desert-adapted black rhino.

Join experienced local monitors and guides as you search the landscape on foot and by vehicle, learning how these rare animals survive in one of Africa’s harshest environments.

Begin the day with a guided nature walk, focusing on the smaller details of the desert ecosystem: tracks, plants, geology, birds, and the subtle signs of life that are easy to miss from a vehicle.

Later, fly onward to Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, one of Namibia’s most remote luxury camps, set between desert, dry river systems, and the wild Skeleton Coast.

Spend the day exploring toward the Skeleton Coast, where the desert meets the Atlantic in one of Namibia’s most dramatic landscapes.

Depending on conditions, the excursion may include dunes, beaches, seal colonies, shipwreck remains, rocky outcrops, and the stark coastal scenery that gives this region its name.

Spend your final full day exploring the Hoanib area by vehicle, looking for desert-adapted elephant, giraffe, oryx, springbok, brown hyena, and, with luck, lion. The terrain shifts between dry riverbeds, gravel plains, rocky outcrops, and desert oases.

After dark, the experience changes again, with the possibility of stargazing or a nighttime perspective on the desert wilderness.

After breakfast, take a final light aircraft flight back toward Windhoek and connect onward through Hosea Kutako International Airport.
