Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Laba Mama Simba for a relaxed start to the journey.

Today is intentionally unhurried, giving you time to recover fully before beginning the climb. Relax by the pool or choose from activities such as horseback riding, golf, polo or a guided walk around the estate.

Later, meet your mountain team for a detailed trek briefing, final equipment check and preparation for the days ahead.

After breakfast, drive to Kilimanjaro National Park and complete the entrance formalities before continuing to the beginning of the Lemosho Trail. The first hike climbs steadily through dense afromontane forest, where the trail can be steep and wildlife sightings may include monkeys and forest birds.

Stop for a picnic lunch along the route before reaching Forest Camp for your first night on the mountain.

Continue ascending through podocarpus and juniper forest before emerging into Kilimanjaro's open heath zone. As the trees fall away, the landscape broadens and the trail reaches the Shira Plateau, one of the mountain's most scenic areas.

Arrive at Shira 1 Camp for a hot lunch, then spend the afternoon resting and allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude.

Cross the sweeping Shira Plateau as the terrain becomes drier, rockier and increasingly alpine. The trail offers expansive views across the plateau and toward Kilimanjaro's upper slopes before reaching secluded Moir Camp around lunchtime.

In the afternoon, relax at camp or join an optional acclimatization walk to a nearby viewpoint.

Traverse the exposed slopes of Kibo through the stark alpine desert toward Lava Tower at 4,600 meters. After lunch at this high point, descend into the dramatic Barranco Valley, following the important acclimatization principle of climbing high and sleeping lower.

This is one of the longer trekking days, but the altitude gain and descent provide valuable preparation for the summit.

Begin the morning with the ascent of the Barranco Wall, an impressive but manageable scramble that rewards you with panoramic views across the southern slopes of Kilimanjaro. Continue through a series of glacial valleys before arriving at Karanga Camp for lunch.

The afternoon is reserved for rest, acclimatization and a short practice walk in the clothing and equipment you will use on summit night.

Leave Karanga Camp and make the gradual ascent through increasingly barren alpine terrain to Barafu Camp, the base for the final summit attempt. Arrive in time for lunch and spend the afternoon resting, hydrating and preparing your clothing and equipment.

After an early dinner, retire to your tent for a few hours of sleep before the overnight climb begins.

Depart shortly before midnight and begin the slow, demanding ascent toward the crater rim under a sky filled with stars. Reach Stella Point around sunrise, then continue along the rim to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters, the highest point in Africa.

After celebrating at the summit, descend back to Barafu Camp for a brief rest and meal before continuing downhill to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.

After breakfast, complete the final descent through Kilimanjaro's lush afromontane forest to Mweka Gate. Say farewell to your guides, porters and mountain crew before transferring back to Laba Mama Simba.

The remainder of the day is free for a long shower, a restorative meal and a well-earned evening of complete relaxation.

Transfer to the airstrip and board a bush flight to the Western Serengeti. On arrival, meet your safari guide and continue by road to Laba Grumeti Art Lodge, with the possibility of wildlife sightings along the way.

Settle into your spacious tented suite and enjoy the afternoon at leisure, taking in the lodge's panoramic views and peaceful surroundings.

Set out on a private morning game drive through the plains, riverine forest and wildlife-rich habitats of the Western Serengeti. Search for lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos and other resident wildlife while exploring at a relaxed pace with your private guide.

Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon unwinding with a massage and time at leisure.

Begin the day with a guided walking safari, offering a closer look at animal tracks, plants, insects and the smaller details that are easily missed from a vehicle. Your guide will explain how the ecosystem functions and how to move safely through the bush on foot.

Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a relaxed afternoon beside the pool or on your private terrace.

Rise before dawn for an optional (and seasonal) hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti, watching the landscape and wildlife unfold below as the sun rises. After landing, enjoy a celebratory breakfast in the bush before returning to the lodge.

Spend the remainder of the day on a final private game drive, relaxing at the lodge or enjoying a sundowner overlooking the plains.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your bush flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Depending on the flight schedule, enjoy a final scenic view over the Serengeti before connecting with your onward international departure.
